Every day in action for our customers

Degassing by concrete customer examples

Every day ENDEGS is on site at its customers’ premises – regardless of whether it’s cleaning tanks in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry or degassing barges. The following examples will illustrate what ENDEGS does.

Example coal-fired power station

This project is about the degassing of two ammonia water tanks, each with a volume of 2500 m³ per tank. At the same time the suction truck was degassed, for which ENDEGS applies its own patent. The average support gas consumption per hour was 40.7 litres.

Example refinery

This project is about the degassing of a petrol tank with an internal floating membrane. The petrol tank has a volume of 5,000 m³. At the same time the suction car was degassed, for which ENDEGS applies its own patent.

Example Petrochemistry

The project involves the degassing of two product tanks with n-hexane in a nitrogen atmosphere with a volume of 2500 m³ per tank during automatic tank cleaning. Parallel to this, three further tanks were degassed during respiration (degassing by storage and removal) as well as three mobile liquid storage tanks and suction vehicles, for which ENDEGS applies its own patent. The support gas consumption per hour was 20.2 litres. Due to a perfect process workflow, the entire degassing process could be shortened by one week.

Example barge transport

This is the degassing and flushing of a gas tanker in the Port of Duisburg with 4.5 bar overpressure. The total volume is approx. 16,500 m³. A flushing was carried out in preparation for the class date. The project time from connecting to disconnecting the hoses was 38 hours. In comparison to conventional procedures (for example a flushing on site or in Holland) about 72 hours were saved.

Example oil mill in the food sector

This project is about the degassing of underground n-hexane tanks with a total volume of around 550 m³. At the same time the suction truck was degassed, for which ENDEGS applies its own patent.

Example chemical tank farm

Here, during a deep-sea tanker loading, a VRU replacement and a breathing of the tank farm were carried out. During the filling of ships as well as through the breathing of the entire tank farm a discontinuous degassing occurred, which requires a particularly solid and highly reactive technology like that of ENDEGS. The tank farm was able to operate without any restrictions within the replacement supply.

Example tank storage in refinery

This involves the degassing of crude oil vapours during tank cleaning. The diameter of a tank was about 55 m. At the same time the suction truck was degassed, for which ENDEGS applies its own patent. The support gas consumption per hour was 31.9 litres. Thanks to perfect process coordination, it was possible to hand over gas-free one day earlier than planned.
